Welcome to St.
Mary Parish Wayne
If you are new to the area, we look
forward to meeting you personally. Please stop by the Parish Office
Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or check with
Father Jack or Sister Pat after one of the weekend Masses. Also, we
ask you to please notify us if you are moving from the parish or if
you have a change of address or phone number within the parish.
If you have not been active in the practice of the Catholic faith,
we encourage you to return. If you would like to speak with someone
on the parish staff, please do not hesitate to contact one of us.
If a previous marriage has kept you from receiving the Sacraments,
we invite you to contact Father Jack. In many cases, he can work
with you toward a favorable solution, so that you can again receive
the Sacraments in the Catholic Church.
If you cannot come to Church because of illness, please be sure
that we are notified, so that we might minister to you.
Our
Parish
St. Mary Catholic Parish has been serving the Wayne area since 1862.
During this time we have celebrated the sacraments, cared for the
sick, educated the community by word and deed. We take seriously our
call to be church and to love one another. We invite you to join us
in that walk. If you would like more information or desire a call,
please contact the parish office. Please take a moment to visit
the upcoming events web page.

KATRINA RELIEF FUND
The Krew has received some mail recently. The Baptist
minister, whose group shared dorm space at Loyola with them,
contacted the Krew via the parish website to thank them for their
hospitality. A communal pot of coffee in the morning can make new
friends. (more)

Thinking About Becoming A Catholic?
Each year in parishes throughout the country, men and
women who are seeking to journey in faith and with local Catholic
community gather together for what has come to be known as the
R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). If you or someone you know are
interested in the R.C.I.A. program,

Vocation
Awareness
Many priests and religious will tell
you that before entering religious life, they felt unworthy of such a
calling. Yet, St. Paul tells us that he boasts of his weaknesses because
he knows that Gods grace is enough (2 Cor 12:7-10). Saint or sinner,
you may be called to the priesthood. For more more on vocations,
